Elder EditorialLeaning on God When Life Is Hard "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." — Proverbs 3:5 None of us welcomes adversity, yet tough seasons come to us all. Illness, loss, disappointment, and uncertainty can quickly remind us how limited our own strength can be. In those moments, God invites us to trust Him. That is often easier said than done. We naturally want answers, solutions, and a clear path forward. Yet faith calls us to place our confidence not in our understanding, but in God's character and care. One of the great comforts of the Christian life is knowing that we never face our struggles alone. The Lord walks with us through every trial, providing strength when we are weary, peace when we are anxious, and hope when the future seems unclear. As a church family, may we encourage one another to keep looking to Christ. Often it is in our greatest challenges that we discover most clearly the depth of God's faithfulness and the sufficiency of His grace. Prayer: Lord, help us trust You when life is difficult. Strengthen our faith, remind us of Your presence, and teach us to rely on You each day. Amen. Derek Mullins | Elder |
