Marc's Update

After a couple of weeks off, I’m excited to be back and gearing up for Term 3. It’s a full term with plenty to look forward to. Ministry in the renovated spaces (and working in the new offices), preaching the next instalment of Romans (chapter 1-4), Hope-tember, and putting plans in place for the Festival of Christmas!
As we head into a new term and, gradually, into spring, join me in praying that we would be alert to where Jesus is at work in the our lives, in the lives of our families and friends, in the life of our church, and in the various places we are sent each and every week.
See you Sunday!

Elder Editorial

Elder Editorial

What do you do when your prayers go unanswered by God? By that I mean not answered how you’d like them to be or nothing at all.
Do you get cross with God, complain, stop praying or do you try to pray a different way or ask God to show you His will and His perspective?
After all, who are we to know how things should turn out in life or what is best for us? As Christians, we should regularly submit to the Lord Jesus’ sovereignty and will for our lives. And it might not look like we expected. But can we trust Him anyway to do what’s best? Absolutely, He gave His life for us so we could be His people.
This passage from Romans 11 that we looked at recently helps I think:v33-34.."Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counsellor?”
So maybe we don’t tell God how to run our lives in our prayers but listen to the Shepherd’s voice as He leads us to green pastures.
