This coming Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week; the week of Easter. For Christians around the world it is a time to remember the death and resurrection of Jesus and its significance and meaning for us. Too often, however, it becomes just one more thing in our busy lives that doesn’t get given the attention it deserves.

I’d like to encourage you to make some time this week to reflect on the events of Easter. That may be to attend (onsite or online) one of our Easter services or to read the gospel accounts of Jesus’ death and resurrection, or to participate in special reading or devotional content (an excellent resource is the YouVersion Bible app that has many Easter reading programs to join). Or maybe, just to take a bit more time to pray than you might normally.

Whatever it is, let us make the time to focus our hearts on Jesus at this extra special time! I hope to see you over the weekend as we begin our sermon series “In three days…” in preparation for Easter.
