“Now faith is confidence is what we hope for an assurance about what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1)

More than ever, it is of utmost importance that we live as people with faith. And no, this is not a reference to viruses or vaccines! In a world facing serious crises but that seems ever more divided - calling into question our ability to work together to face these crises - people of faith are needed. Faith in the promises of God to restore and renew the world in Christ Jesus. This grand promise invites us to look for signs of restoration and to participate with them. It invites us to be hopeful, optimistic, and positive about our world - not because we are unaware of the problems we face or the impact of our brokenness as people - but because we believe Jesus will not abandon his commitment to the Father’s plans and that the Father will not see his plans fail.

These promises invite us to be generous towards others - with our resources, but also in kindness and forgiveness - and to be more concerned about God’s kingdom than our own. People with faith are able to move in a world of uncertainty and animosity with a grace and hope that opposes fear, anger, hatred, or despair. Remember where our hope lies and move as a person with faith in your families, neighbourhoods, and workplaces. And, let us not give up meeting together!
