Last Sunday we launched our theme for 2022: RENOVATION – Rebuilding for Purpose. I’d encourage you to listen to the message if you missed it because it outlines what the Lord has placed on my heart to do as a community of faith next year (Nehemiah 2:12).

At the AGM that followed our morning services I outlined our action plan for next year as part of the work of RENOVATION. This includes doing collaborative work around what it means to be a member of GBC, investing in our online community, launching the first instalment of a community hub in association with Hopefield, discerning together the invitation of God for our next five years, and stabilising our financial position as a community of faith.

We also approved our 2022 budget (shout out to Glenn Smith for his hard work in getting this done and in communicating it so clearly). We will be communicating more about the action plan in the new year and I’m very excited about what the year will hold for us.

In the meantime, please join me in praying that we might see the gracious hand of God in our lives and in our church, to see the areas that need to be renovated, and that we would have the courage to do what needs to be done.
