This week our evangelism coordinator Belinda Lakelin continues our series in the book of Nehemiah, Renovation: Rebuilding for Purpose. Belinda looks at opposition from Israel's enemies in Chapter 6 in the form of fake news, fake prophets and fake friends - and explains how Israel's actions that caused the exile in the first place are reoccurring all over again! It's a problem of the heart that no exile or wall can fix, but God remains true to his promises and will one day send a Saviour to fix the issue at heart.
The wall is a signpost to show that God was at work and was the help and hope of Israel. We too can be signposts that point to God's faithfulness and presence in our lives, as we continue to live lives that trust, reflect and honour God.
