A message from the Senior PastorMarc's Update This weekend marks twenty-five years since the Twin Towers in New York were struck by hijacked passenger planes and collapsed. The world changed that day in ways that are obvious and enduring, especially for those of who are old enough to remember the world before. Tighter airline security was only the beginning. We continue to live in the shadow of that dark day. Marc Rader | Senior Pastor |

Elder Editorial
Finding Strength in the Fog I have learned that resilience does not always look like strength. Sometimes it is simply getting through the day while carrying questions that have no easy answers. When life feels uncertain, anxiety often urges us to take control. We want guarantees about our health, relationships, or future. Yet peace rarely comes from knowing every outcome. It grows as we learn to trust God one day at a time. Faith does not deny our fear or pain. It brings them honestly before God. We may not see the whole road ahead, but we can hold the hand of the One who does. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5 Prayer Father, when I feel anxious and uncertain, help me release what I cannot control. Give me wisdom for today, courage for the next step, and peace in knowing that You are with me. Amen. Greg Williams | Elder |

Family News
Recognising the passing of Betty Forrest, long time part of the GBC Community before moving down the south coast. Marc Rader presided over the Celebration of Life service last Wednesday. Betty Forrest's late husband Bob was instrumental in founding Bikes for Bibles ministry. Together they also served in a wide variety of roles including the Diaconate (Bob), youth ministry and the young adult ministry known as Inbetweeners, and were particularly known for their hospitality. Remembered fondly and much missed, now forever with The Lord. Have something to celebrate, share, or pray about? Whether it's a graduation, engagement, wedding, new baby, new job, house move, health concern, or praise point, we'd love to hear from you. Contact the church office at office@gymeabaptist.org.au or 9521 4611 so we can share in these moments as a church family. |

Could you give it a new home? (Free Furniture & Items)
Our renovation is complete, and as we settle into our new spaces, we’ve discovered a few things that are ready for their next chapter! We have furniture and other items that are no longer needed, and we’d love to see them repurposed or re-homed within our GBC community rather than go to waste. There’s a bit of everything — desks, filing cabinets, children’s tables and chairs, a change table, bookshelves and more! Come and have a browse after the services on 13 or 20 September and see if there’s something that could find a new home with you. |
