Scripture in Schools
Scripture in Schools (Special Religious Education or SRE) is a wonderful opportunity to teach the Bible to students in our Public School system on a weekly basis. Gymea Baptist currently teaches at Gymea North Public School and Kareela Public School. Classes run for 30 minutes and we use the approved Baptist Association GodSpace curriculum. We are members of the Sutherland Board of Christian Education.
If you would like to be involved in SRE either as a teacher, helper or prayer support, please contact the church office.
Ray Lee House
Ray Lee House is a social centre for anyone self-caring and over 60. We meet at the Gymea Baptist Church on Tuesday mornings during the school term. For $15 per person, you’ll get morning tea, a two-course lunch, and games and activities.
Transport is available through ActiveUs Community Transport.
Come try us out for free to see if this day out will boost your social life!
Ray Lee House is not a respite centre and is run purely by volunteers. We are not trained or qualified to work with dementia and disabilities. But we do have disabled access and toilet facilities for those who are self-caring and independent.
Southern Men’s Christian Fellowship
Southern Men’s Christian Fellowship meets on the last Wednesday of every month at 12:15pm for a 12:30pm start, at Donald Robinson Village café, 81 Flora St Kirrawee. Each month there is a guest speaker and a $12.50 light lunch. For more information or to come along, please ring Arthur Watterson on 8539 7990 or John Ansell on 9528 2481.
