What do we do?
The coordinators of our Playgroups aim to provide a safe and caring environment where children, parents and carers will find friendship and support and enjoy participating together in activities each week. At Playgroup we encourage parnets and carers to get involved with their child, especially at times when we are singing, listening to a story or doing an activity. We ask that you sit with your child and just enjoy sharing the time together.
Parents and carers are responsible for the children in their care.
-
Children should be supervised at all times, whether inside or outside play time.
-
We do not allow children to `explore’ all the interesting rooms and buildings in the church unaccompanied.
-
We encourage an awarness that there are other activities, people working, and counselling happening in the rooms and offices of the church.
Discipline
Each parent is responsible for disciplining their own child. We ask parents to be sensitive and considerate towards other parents and other children in this matter. If there are any concerns we ask that you speak to the playgroup coordinators.
Rosters
Parents are encouraged to help out by taking a turn to:
* run an activity * set up/pack up toys
* read a story * lead singing time
* vacuum and clean up
* bring morning tea for parents and carers

You are invited to join in the other activities of our church.
Sunday Service times are 8.30am and 10.15am on Sunday morning and 6.30pm in the evening. Both morning services have a children’s program that runs throughout the school terms. There are also `special days’ like our `Farm Day’ in the school holidays for under 5’s.
Southern Community Welfare is a part of our church and offers counselling and parent support programs that are available to the whole community.
