Youth Program

Revolution Youth

the youth ministry of Gymea Baptist Church is called "Revolution" and is for those at the end of primary school and those of high school age. we meet on a Friday night during public school terms at the church.
we are committed to seeing young people come to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and to grow in that relationship with Him through such things as living out their faith at home and in their school, using their gifts to serve one another, being a part of a small group and being a regular part of church on a Sunday night @ 6:30.

what's the go with the blue icons you ask?

simply a visual representation of what event / program is all about. so if you see the church the feel will be more about worship, the heart about community, the bible about teaching, the cross about sharing Jesus and the tent about good times away together. revolution is also a member of the soul revival Jesus movement. a movement made up of youth ministries who are committed to working together rather than in competition and seeing the Gospel proclaimed. we believe that as youth commit themselves to Jesus and a local church, do life with others in community, are trained and equipped for ministry and work with other local churches, we will see much fruit for the Kingdom.

our vision//

"learning from one another to be more like Jesus"

our Friday night program is founded on the development of relationships between the youth and the leaders. we spend our time together getting to know one another, hanging out, chatting and having a good time. we also have a time where the life of Jesus is looked at. it is hoped that new people who come along will see a community that is different than what the world too often offers - a community of acceptance, love, joy and appreciation.

over the next 5 years we are hoping to//

develop life groups as the main avenue for the youth engaging in genuine God focused relationships.

develop the Friday night program to be focused on those who don’t know Jesus.

foster spiritual growth through regular church attendance on a Sunday night.

run annual youth mission trips focused on helping other churches and communities less fortunate than ours.

have the major form of communication with the youth technologically relevant (email, sms, internet), while providing alternative means for parents.
