Creating Safe Spaces

 
Presented by the Baptist Union of NSW, this workshop is intended to provide an introduction to Safe Church policies and procedures.

This introductory workshop is designed for all SRE teachers, pastors, elders, deacons (policy decision makers), all ministry leaders plus all children and youth team members and leaders.

Gymea Baptist Church requires all leaders (no matter the ministry area) to complete this course before commencing their role.


We will be covered:
duty of care, codes of conduct, positional power, transparency and accountability

protecting vulnerable people including children at risk of harm- definitions, indicators and response procedure

information about training, recruiting and supervising leaders

how to establish and run safe church ministry programs (risk management)


Costs:
Full course adults $25

Concession (student/pensioners) $15

SRE modules 1 & 2 only $10 (no concession)

(collected on the day at venue, cheques payable to The Baptist Union of NSW)
